Burnley Gardens at 500 Yarra Boulevard Richmond are a public garden with superb trees, a herb garden, interesting plants and a barbeque and picnic area. Pictured above is the Enid Carberry, probably the first woman to study at Burnley and Hank Swann a lecturer at the College, Memorial Fountain. They were valued members of the Burnley School of Horticulture and, later on, of the Herb Society of Victoria.
Geelong Botanic Gardens has beautiful Salvias and the largest Gingko biloba in the Southern Hemisphere. The photograph is of bollards based on the Garden’s first manager and his wife.
