17th Australian and New Zealand Herb Conference – Melbourne October 2022

The Herb Society of Victoria is looking forward to the upcoming 17th Australian and New Zealand Herb Conference to be held on Melbourne on the weekend of October 8th and 9th, 2022, with some events for Herb Societies before and after the main event.   Hope to see you there.

Saturday and Sunday 8th and 9th October – Herb Conference

Location: Burnley Campus of University of Melbourne and Burnley Gardens.

Tickets are about to be launched via online purchase.

Ticket Price will include:

  • Four Amazing Speakers each day
  • A workshop making herb based products on one day
  • Garden Tours of Burnley Gardens on alternate day
  • Full Morning tea, lunch and herbal teas in the afternoon
  • Herb conference bag with goodies

PLUS Market Stalls to purchase herb and useful plants, books and products AND a fabulous raffle.

Saturday 8 October 2019

  • 8.30 Open and Registration
  • 9.00 to 9.30 – Introduction and Welcome and Housekeeping.
  • 9.30 – Presentation 1 – TBC
  • 10.30 – Morning Tea – Local CWA home cooked treats with herbal tea/tea/coffee
  • 11.00 – Presentation 2, – Penny Woodward
  • 12.00 – Lunch, included in the ticket price, Vegan and Vegetarian options available.
  • 1.15 – Presentation 3 – Clive Larkman
  • 2.15 – Workshop or FOBG tour of Burnley Garden
  • 3.00 – Afternoon herbal tea break
  • 3.30 – Presentation 4 – Tony Hoseman
  • 4.30 – close

Sunday 9 October 2019

  • 8.30 Open and Registration (for Sunday only participants)
  • 9.00 to 9.30 – Welcome
  • 9.30 – Presentation 5 – TBA

  • 11.00 – Presentation 6 – Dr Brian May
  • 12.00 – Lunch, included in the ticket price, Vegan and Vegetarian options available.
  • 1.15 – Presentation 7 – TBA
  • 2.15 – Workshop or FOBG tour of Burnley Garden
  • 3.00 – Afternoon herbal tea break
  • 3.30 – Presentation 8 – Penny Woodward
  • 4.30 – Raffle draw, Thankyou and close

  • Public Transport – accessible by train and tram. Best PT access is via number 70 Tram from Flinders St in the city and about a 3 min walk from stop number 18.
  • Driving – Free Car Parking is available on Yarra Boulevard.

  • Non-member rate both days $220
  • Member rate single day $100
  • Non-member rate single day $120

Members of Australia and NZ Herb Societies and are entitled to member rates.

Friday 8th October – Social Dinner

A local hotel has been booked.

This event will be individual payment when ordering.  Drinks and meals at bar prices.

Monday 12th to Friday 16th October Day trips

Selected and Optional Day Tours around Melbourne to herb and garden places of interest

Day trips will focus on Melbourne’s many attractions, aiming to accessible by public transport or by private vehicle.
