About The Herb Society Of Victoria

The Herb Society of Victoria is an enjoyable, non-competitive group with passionate members who love sharing their vast knowledge of all things herbal and keep on learning from the varied guest speakers at our monthly events.

We provide nursery grown herbs for sale at very reasonable prices, as well as free cuttings to take home from meetings. There is an extensive library for members to borrow books and a fabulous newsletter 6 times per year.  After event presentations, we normally round off the evening with herbal teas and shared supper, so plenty of chance to experience some herbal delights, chat and exchange tips. We often hold other events, like garden visits, lunches, bus trips, and seminars.

The Aims Of The Society Are:

  • To act as a forum for all persons interested in herbs for their mutual benefit and fellowship
  • To further the education of the public in the use, value and growing of herbs
  • To promote and encourage the organic growing of herbal plants.

Some recent event presentations have been:

  • Traditional Chinese Medicine Herbs in the Garden
  • Shakespeare’s Herbs and Plants in Modern Gardens
